Mary Louise Rodriguez

Mary Louise Rodriguez was a magnificent woman. A loving and dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Mary was born to Cruz and Ruby Magdaleno on March 4, 1947in Riverside, CA. The 7th of 8 siblings, Mary was extremely close to her 4 sisters and 3 brothers throughout her life; sharing many vacations, cruises, laughs, and the morals and values passed down from their parents. She met her beloved husband, Alfred “Goosy” Rodriguez, at the age of 15 in Camarillo, CA. Together, Goosy and Witcha, as they were affectionately known, raised their five children first in Riverside and then Escondido before settling down in Hemet, CA in 1992. Around this time, this dynamic duo also began to raise their cherished grandchildren, Benny and Ruby Rodriguez.

Mary was an exemplary employee at The Village healthcare center in Hemet, California for 25 years before retiring to care for Alfred in 2013. She loved her work and cherished the memories made with her coworkers and patients. In retirement, Mary enjoyed her passions: her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren, were what she lived for. She loved the Dodgers, her boys in Blue. She enjoyed eating out and taking long drives that she would still call, cruising. She loved to laugh and had a quick witted sense of humor. She was kind to strangers and prayed for every ambulance that crossed her path. She loved the Lord and prayed in Jesus name.

Mary is resting in the bosom of Abraham as of July 21, 2023 when she passed away in Riverside, CA after a long battle with several health issues.

Mary is meeting in paradise: her parents, her husband, her eldest sister Esther Rodriguez, her beloved brother, Henry Magdaleno, and her eldest son, Edward Rodriguez.

Mary leaves behind her loving family: siblings Dora Magdaleno, Rudy Magdaleno, Beatrice Campos, Ramona Magdaleno, and Arthur Magdaleno; children Lisa Henderson, Sophia Garcia, Daniel Rodriguez, Sandy Soria, Benny and Ruby Rodriguez; 24 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
