Lance Scott Wilcher

Lance was one of the most dynamic people many of us will ever meet. He lived his life with no regrets and a positive attitude. Many of those who knew him spoke of his ability to accomplish anything he put his heart and mind to.

Lance was born at 6:41PM on Friday, the 13th of November 1970, in Covina, CA. From a young age everyone believed in what he would become. He attended Charter Oak High School and prospered in both academics and athletics. After high school he began working and attending junior college at Mt. Sac. He received his AA degree and went on to attend the University of Southern California. USC would shape Lance's life from this point forward. It is here that he became a lifelong Trojan and began his relationship with Betty. She was a huge inspiration to Lance as she supported him fully in his pursuit of academic excellence. As a senior he received an outstanding recognition award and earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a 4.0 GPA. He continued on to earn his Master of Science in Nursing with a 4.0 GPA followed by his Doctorate.

Throughout all the academic and career accomplishments; he was most proud of his family. Lance and Betty were blessed with two beautiful girls, Brittani and Athina. He was an amazing husband and father who worked hard and played hard. His vacations and trips meant so much to him. He went yearly to Yosemite, weekly to Disneyland and took trips all over with his girls. He was also seen at every home USC football game where he loved to tailgate and spend time with his family. His ability to start a Southern California chant was EPIC!

He was an inspiration to so many people with his ability to mentor, befriend, encourage, motivate, inspire, dream and support.

We were blessed with Lance in our lives and we will continue to dream big and FIGHT ON!
