Jose R. Gonzales 87 of Riverside, Ca., passed away peacefully at home on 6/12/2014. Jose was born on 1/25/1927, in Tornillo, TX. He served in the U.S. Army for two years during WWII. Later, he was a member of the Laborers International Union of North America Local 1184 for 50 yrs., during which he worked as a construction laborer for 27 yrs. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elvira; three sons; David, Richard, and Henry; two daughters; Bertha and Elaine; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved son Robert "Bobby". Jose is also survived by two brothers, two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation on 6/23/14, from 5-8pm, at Acheson and Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary. Funeral Services on 6/24/14 at 10am, at Arlington Avenue Church of the Nazarene, 5475 Arlington Ave. Burial to follow at Riverside National Cemetery.
