My brother, Jose M Garcia second born son to parents Hermelinda Ruvalcaba Cornejo and Domingo Cornejo …brother to Jesus Cornejo, Delia Gutierrez and Mariana Garcia. He was born in Saucillo, Jalisco, Mexico. During his early years he lived at a farm called “El Cerrito” then moved to San Pedro, Tlaquepaque where he began his first job in a hardware store, he also worked for the town hall of Guadalajara, Jalisco. My brother loved to sing and compose music, you would often find him singing a song he’d composed always eager to hear your opinion. He also loved to play pool and poker with family and friends. As a young adult he moved to Los Angeles, CA where he spent the remainder of his life, working at a bakery for many years after retiring. He loved to visit his family in Guadalajara, Mexico in particular his Uncle Luis Ruvalcaba whom he visited frequently. My brother was a hard working father, who devoted his life to his family, he was beloved by all who had a connection with him. He was also a very caring and loving son and brother, having taken care of his mother until she passed away early in his life. He remained close to those he loved and there isn’t anything that he wouldn’t do for his family. He will truly be missed and forever remain in our hearts.
