Carolyn Gunther

CAROLYN GUNTHER Carolyn was born on June 3, 1930 in Sioux City, Iowa. She was a resident of Riverside, California for the past 51 years. On June 27, 2012, at the age of 82, Carolyn was called home to rest and to reunite with her late husband Ludolph (Lou). Carolyn is survived by her children, Vern Gunther and wife Donna, Keith Gunther and wife Tammy, Stella Gunther, Phyllis Preston and husband Milton, and her grandchildren, Holly Alejandre and husband Joseph, Scott Gunther, Stacey Gunther, Kyle Gunther and wife Shawna, Kurtis Gunther; and her sister, Virginia Wurth and husband Herbert. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Carolyn was known for her devotion to her family, friends and Roman Catholic faith, as well as her loving personality, passion to enjoy life and operatic voice. Carolyn and her husband Lou were the owners of Jurupa Radiator and Automotive Service for 35 years. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for 51 years and served as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the choir. Carolyn was active in many community organizations including the Riverside Raincross Exchange Club, The Red Hat Society, The Republican Women's Organization, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Women's Guild, in addition to being past president of Zonta and CARA. A visitation and rosary will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave. Riverside, CA 92504. Visitation is from 5 pm - 8 pm and Rosary is at 6 pm. The funeral will be held Friday, July 6, at 10:30am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 6686 Streeter Avenue, Riverside, CA 92504. Interment will immediately follow at Riverside National Veteran's Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd. Riverside, CA 92518. Arrangements entrusted to Acheson & Graham Mortuary (951) 688-1221
