Alfred Lawrence Brooks, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Loma Linda VA hospital. He was born on January 3, 1934 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Walter Sr. and Elizabeth Brooks. He lived in Corona for 20 years.
Alfred served his country in the United States Navy Korean War. He received honorable orders of Kentucky Colonels (twice under two different government). He retired from Ford Motor Company after 31 1/2 years as a Plant Supervisor. He received an Associate Degree in Real Estate and discontinue his education in his junior year due to work became very demanding. He was avid tennis and pool player. He enjoyed painting, drawing and playing cards.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 1/2 years Joyce (Pearson) Brooks, his daughter Tara Butler and son Kirk Brooks, one granddaughter Tamarah Butler, three grandsons Darius, Tyrik and Cameron Brooks. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory his sister Gloria Gordon, many devoted nieces and nephews and host of friends.
