Sara “Jean” Hitt, 93, christian wife, mother, daughter, friend and longtime resident of Jackson, passed away on April 27, 2015. For years, she was an active member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and in later years, Colonial Heights Baptist.
Travis C. Hitt, her husband of 45 years, preceded her in death. Her children, Betty Jean Hood of Nashville and Dwight Hitt of Jackson survive her.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, April 30, and 9-10 AM on Friday, May 1, with services at Parkway Funeral Home at 10 AM Friday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Baptist Children’s Home, Hospice Ministries or a charity of your choice.
