Philip married Jennifer, and together they had six children, Angell, Kimberly, Maggie, Polly, Bart, and Ross. Phil was affectionately called “Grampy” by his 19 grandchildren. He fiercely loved and protected his family. He was preceded in death by Susan Hartley Cook, and his parents Arlene and Bromley Cook.
Philip graduated from Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy in engineering and proudly served in Vietnam as a commissioned officer. His extensive law enforcement career began as an ATF agent in Boston and periodically detailed with the secret service. He retired from the State of Louisiana department of corrections in 2013.
Memorial services will be held at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, Mississippi on Saturday, October 22 at 6:00 pm. Visitation for Philip will begin at 5:00 pm.
