Chantal was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attended schools in the Milwaukee area. She was a member of The Sisters of St. Joseph of the Franciscans. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from St. Norbert College, West De Pere, Wisconsin and moved to Mississippi where she taught at St. Francis School in Greenwood. While there Chantal worked with Brother Adrian, OFM, a noted artist who created cards to sell to raise money for the Church and school. Chantal worked at St. Dominic Hospital for a brief time as a unit manager before entering the Navy. There she worked for the Department of Defense teaching in the school system in Germany and Spain where she remained until retiring to Sarasota, Florida in the mid 1990s.
Chantal was a gifted artist and shared her teaching and artistic talents generously with her many students in America, Germany and Spain. She loved nature, music, world travels and the Green Bay Packers.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine’s Village on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 2:00 with Reverend Francis Cosgrove as Celebrant and a private graveside service will be held in Parkway Memorial Cemetery.
Chantal’s friends wish to thank the staff at Tuscany in St. Catherine’s Village, the Hospice Ministries staff.
