Anna Margaret "Marty" Bee Foote

Marty was a graduate of Provine High School in Jackson. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Mississippi, along with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern Mississippi. While at Ole Miss, she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She was committed to helping others through her work with the Mississippi Department of Human Services and the Cancer Center at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. Marty was devoted to her work and her friends, and will be remembered for her contagious smile and compassionate heart.

Her greatest joy of all was her family. She was so proud of her daughter, Allison and her grandson, Ty. She had recently learned that Ty had received a college scholarship to play golf, and that put a smile on her face until the day she left us.

Marty was preceded in death by her parents, Anna Cowden Bee and Alon Bee, and her sister-in-law, Vicki Randle Bee who she cared for before her passing in 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Allison McCurry Foote Townsend; grandson, Ty David Townsend; brother, Alon Bee; niece, Paige Bee Dodgen and her nephew Blake Randle Bee.

A visitation will be held Friday, August 26, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM with a graveside service following at 11:30 at Parkway Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to Hospice Ministries, 450 Towne Center Blvd., Ridgeland, MS 39157. The family wishes to especially thank the staff at Brandon Court for their kindness and care.
