William Matthew Wiltshire

WILTSHIRE, William Matthew, 87, of Henrico, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 4, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, William Clyde Wiltshire; mother, Myrtle Hollins Wiltshire; brothers, Ashley T. Wiltshire; and baby, Lloyd Wiltshire; sister, Evelyn W. Brooks. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Iris P. Wiltshire; daughter, Barbara L. Wiltshire; sister, Ovella Julia Duckworth; brother, Clyde Edward Wiltshire (Anna); also many nieces and nephews. William was a Korean War veteran, where he received two bronze stars for bravery. He worked with his father and uncle at Wiltshire Auto and eventually took over the business. He later worked for John Deere. He enjoyed woodworking, automobiles, gardening and helping others and his involvement in church activities. He was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church for 55 years. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where his funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2017. Burial will follow at Greenwood Gardens.
