JONES, Virgil, 79, of Richmond, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018. He was born in Columbia, N.C. to his parents, Marshall and Irma Jones, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty B. Jones; children, Virgil G. Jones, Jr., Mark A. Jones, Justin L. Jones; brother Glen Jones (Rene); and other relatives and friends. He graduated from Granby High School in Norfolk, Va. He went on to join the Army Reserves and also worked as a photo engraver. He owned Packaging Gravure, Inc., and Richmond Powder Coating. In his free time, he loved to play golf. A memorial celebration and reception will be held at 12 pm, Saturday, August 4, at Nelsen Funeral Home Reception Center, 4660 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Virginia 23231.
