Shelby Jean (Powell) Jeffries

She was preceded in death by her father, James J Powell Sr, mother, Marjorie R (Holland) Powell, and brother, James J Powell Jr. She was deeply loved and will be missed. Shelby attended Madison College, 1956-58. She was notable for her sewing, knitting, cross stitch and quilting skills. For most of her life she engaged in numerous Bible Study Groups all over Richmond; was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and WMF.

She is survived by her Husband of 62 years, William M Jeffries; Son Howard S Jeffries (Dawn); Daughter Gloria Lynne Jeffries; Grandchildren Gregg F Jeffries, Winston A Jeffries, and Kaitlyn Shelby Faus; sister-in-law Ella Sue (Wood) Powell; and niece Cindy (Powell) Warren (Terry).

If you would like to pay your respects, you are welcome to attend the memorial service in her honor at Woody Funeral Home-Parham Saturday June 10, 2023, with visitation 10:00AM, Memorial service 11:00 AM. A private graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM, at Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, VA.
