 Obituario de Ruth Lea Vadnais
Ruth Lea Vadnais, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2022 at Blue Ridge Senior Memory Care in Richmond VA at 91 years of age. She was born on July 11, 1930 in Norwalk, CT to Rosario and Corona (Breault) Lussier. She worked at Sperry Conductor in Norwalk, CT and Dupont in Newtown CT. She also worked at Ridgefield High School in the cafeteria and was known for giving extra helpings, especially to the football players. She also was a nanny to a local family whose children she lovingly cared for. After an early retirement she kept busy by babysitting for grandchildren and volunteering at the Norwalk Hospital gift shop. Ruth loved and cared for her family and friends deeply. She had a listening ear, helping hands and a caring heart. Her life was an example of putting others before herself. She enjoyed going to church, was a prayerful woman and her heart was tender and loving. She was predeceased by her husband of 21 years Joseph Bertrand Vadnais, brothers Johnny, Andrew and George Lussier and son-in-law Philippe Fillion. She is survived by two children: Robert (Bobby) Vadnais of Southbury CT and daughter Barbara Anne (Fillion) McFerrin of Glen Allen, VA, daughter-in-law Kathy Vadnais and son-law Mac McFerrin. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kelly, Joey, Julie, Katherine, Chaz and Chanelle, eight great grandchildren, Brent, Kylie, Elijah, Aiden, Oliver, Asher, Marsha Mae and Lily Grace. She is also survived by two sisters, Georgette Liotta of Clearwater, FL and Francis Marcoux of Hopewell Junction, NY and a host of brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews.
