Robert Doctor

Doctor, Robert, 87, of Quinton, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023. He was a plant manager at Tidewater Materials and served in the National Guard. Robert was an avid race fan, loved Myrtle Beach and enjoyed listening to country and western music, especially George Jones. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 61 years, Patricia; a son, Ricky Moore (Theresa); daughters Theresa Lester (Ronnie) and Diane Doctor (Dawn); grandchildren, Eric Moore, Amy Moore (deceased), Ryan Moore, Jamie Lester, Daniel Marano, Ashlee Sjogren and Karis Marano; great-grandchildren, Haley (deceased), Rachel, Katelyn, Alyssa and Addison Moore, Hayden and Lucy Lester; and a large circle of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 pm, Monday, June 19, 2023 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave where a funeral service will be held at 2pm. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park. Flowers are welcome, or the family suggest making donations in his name to New Kent Rescue Squad.
