Muthu "Ravi" Ganesan
27 febrero , 1956 – 13 enero , 2022
EN EL CUIDADO DE
Woody Funeral Home-Parham
On the morning of January 13, 2022, Muthusubramanian “Ravi” Ganesan was taken from this world far too early, though memories of him and his impact on those who loved him endure.
He was born on February 27, 1956, in India. Growing up, he helped care for his younger siblings, got the highest marks in his classes, and walked barefoot and uphill to school both ways. He never lost this nurturing and supportive spirit for his loved ones.
As a young man, he managed to dupe a wonderful lady, Sharada, to marry him, and together, they embarked on a journey to America along with their two young children, in search of opportunities for their family. He managed to navigate finishing his graduate degree, working in a new country, raising a family, and complaining about his wife’s cooking all at the same time.
He retired from a successful career in information technology and transitioned to a second career in teaching. Not only did he derive incredible satisfaction from tutoring children in math, but he also gained emotional and spiritual satisfaction from devoting himself to his studies of Hinduism and Sanskrit. He would meditate for hours on-end every day, though many might have confused this with napping. He cherished his relationships with his son-in-law, Ryan, his daughter-in-law, Page, and his grandson, Xavier. He was able to spend every day for his last several months of life with his beloved grandchild, who increased his vitality and gave him immeasurable joy. He also acknowledged the existence of his two children, Arjun and Manasa. Muthu will be remembered as a loquacious, generous, and humorous husband, father, and friend.
He will be honored in a celebration of life on January 18, 2022. Visiting hours are from 4 – 8 PM at Woody Funeral Home – Parham in Richmond, VA.
