Mary Sue Mays Potter

Mary Sue Mays Potter, age 94, of Glen Allen, Virginia passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023. Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Nannie Tyree Mays; father, Bland W. Mays; husband, Bill G. Potter; brothers, Lewis E. Mays and Vernard M. Mays; and her son, Wayne Bryant. She was a member of Shalom Baptist Church. Mary worked many waitressing careers and sold Avon. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Virginia Ellen Tatum and Helen Marie Walker and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23231. A graveside service will occur Friday, February 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive, Sandston, Virginia 23150.
