John Hawkins

HAWKINS, John, 78, of Midlothian, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dulcie Florence and Sidney William Hawkins. John retired from Phillip Morris and was a graduate of Melbourne College of Printing and Graphic Arts. John is survived by his wife of 37 years, Logan Hawkins; son, William Hawkins (Elisa), daughter, Dulcie Monk (Bryan), step-children, Dennis Burrows (Pam), Denise Taylor (Keith), David Burrows, and Dena Morris; grandchildren, Roxann Patton (Jonathan), Shayne Morris (Kaitlyn), Brad Burrows, Nathan Taylor and Chloe Monk; two great-grandchildren, Jaycee Morris and Landon Burrows; two sisters, Jill Pleiman and Joyce Cox; and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 and 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 16 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, Va 23231, where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2014. Interment will be held in Signal Hill Memorial Park.
