Janice Houston Toler

Janice Houston Toler passed away on September 8, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Broaddre and Ellen Houston; and her husband, Winston "Winky". Janice is survived by her daughter, Jill with husband, Al; cousin, Jean Dance; many close friends, and fellow St. Pat's members - especially her Bible study group at St. Pat's. She enjoyed fishing, socializing with friends and family, fixing and making things work (her nickname was "MacGyver"), fun mischief, and she loved dogs. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 14 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 15 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 25th and Broad St. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any no-kill animal shelter or St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
