Garland Ray Priddy Sr.

PRIDDY, Garland Ray Sr., 85, of Hanover County, Virginia, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024. Garland was preceded in death by his wife, Shelia Alvis Priddy. Garland is survived by his children, son Garland R. “Mike” Priddy, Jr. (Robin), daughter Lori Ann Priddy (Dereck), granddaughters Blaire Thompson-Cheseldine (Michael), Carlee Thompson-Mears (Thomas) and Lexington “Saige” Richardson. Three cherished great-grandchildren, Jaxon Colt, Oaklynn Rose, and Henslee Rae Cheseldine. Garland is also survived by his sister, Marjorie Platt (Fred), niece Danielle White Neumann (Matt) and nephew Jeffrey Todd White. Garland retired as a Forensic Detective for Henrico County Police Department. Garland was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Richmond, Virginia as well as the Knights of Columbus. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 2009 Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond Virginia. A processional will begin at 10:30 on July 9, 2024 from Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory to Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive, Sandston Virginia. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 with an interment to follow.
