 Obituario de Eva Briesmaster Henley
HENLEY, Eva Briesmaster, 91, of Manakin-Sabot, Virginia, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018. She was born on October 17, 1926, in Crozier, Virginia. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Henley. Mrs. Henley is survived by her sister, Judy B. Gutowski (David) of Kilmarnock, Virginia, and her nieces, Ann Marie Pruitt of White Stone, Muriel Robertson of Copperas Cove, Texas, Barbara Sensabaugh (Jim) of Crozier, Carole Halstead (Gary) of Ashland, Susan Joyce (Todd) of Leesburg, and Sarah Mayfield of Henrico. She is also survived by nephews, Harry Briesmaster, III of Layton, Utah and Mark Briesmaster of Barcelona, Spain; and her cousins, Jacquelyn Brooks and Dr. Edith Ellis, both of Henrico. Mrs. Henley graduated from Goochland High School and attended The College of William and Mary. She was employed by the Virginia Department of Welfare and Institutions for 25 years, retiring as an accountant for Children’s Services. A dedicated volunteer, she was a charter member of the Goochland Woman’s Club, board member of the Bank of the James, and organizer of the Goochland Relay for Life. Mrs. Henley served actively on Goochland Rescue for over 20 years. A member of the Manakin Homemakers Club, she served as president of the Goochland Homemakers Council. A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 3 to 5 pm at Woody Funeral Home, Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229. A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave, Richmond, Va. 23238, at 11 am on Monday, August 27, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4600 Cox Rd. #130, Glen Allen, VA 23060 or to Goochland Fire and Rescue, Company #1, PO Box 283, Manakin-Sabot, VA 23103.
