Emma Louise Sutton

Emma L Sutton, 91, of Richmond, VA passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 31, 2021. She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Kuper Sutton and her father, Valville Lynn Sutton, her siblings, Tipton Sutton, Valville Lynn Sutton, Jr., Clara Shotzberger, George Lee Sutton and Florence Mathews and a nephew, Calvin Mathews. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Mary Lynn Flippen (Jimmy), Tipton Sutton (Ginny), Susan Fiore (Butch), Lee Sutton, Kathy Childress, George Shotzberger (Colleen), Robert Shotzberger, Joni Lynn Couch, and Mark Shotzberger. She is survived by many great nieces and great nephews. Emma worked in the insurance industry, but her true love was art, fashion, and archeology. She owned a bridal shop, sewed costumes for Barksdale Theater and designed and sewed costumes for dolls created by the internationally known illustrator, Bill Nelson. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. The family would like to thank the staff at CSL-The West End and Legacy Hospice. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
