My prayers are with family and friends of Betty during their time of grief.  I will miss her too.  Knowing she is with us in spirit I will say:  Thank you, Betty, for all the fun, laughter and beautiful memories you've given me over many years.  I wish we could have shared more time together as we grew older.

To Betty's family:  I am so very sorry to hear of Betty's passing.  We were high school friends and members of a sorority in the 50's.  She remained my friend for all these years thanks to email and Facebook.  Such a great friend and a wonderful lady.

Kim and Teri I am so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. Please know you and your families are in my thoughts and prayers.

My amazing aunt Betty passed away 3-21-17 surrounded by her loving family. Betty and her family have been a true inspiration to me. Betty had a very witty sense of humor that both her beautiful daughters and grand children inherited. She was so genuine and was always   interested in what you had to say. Her children Teri and Kimberly and grand daughters Maddie and Morgan are extensions of Betty and every value she taught them. Just like Betty, they are all funny, witty, sarcastic, feisty, loving and genuine. Betty always made me feel welcome and loved. She was always my biggest fan as I was of her. I love her and miss her. My only peace in her loss is thinking she has been reunited with her husband Jim and he is holding her tightly in his arms. I love you aunt Betty.

Terri and Kim, I was so very sad to hear about sweet Betty's passing. She was a great cheerleader and supporter to me at DBC. She always made me laugh and was a joy to go  to lunch with.

My Cousin Betty
Today is the first full day of a world without my dear, wonderful, funny first cousin, Betty Riddle Allen among us. Betty passed from us yesterday and life in our immediate and extended family will never be the same. She and her mom, my Aunt Lois, helped to raise me and my sister while my parents struggled to make a good life for us in Arlington through the 50's, 60's and 70's. Betty was a musical genius at a piano keyboard and could play anything from classical to boogy woogie. She was also a humorous, comical, natural wit who could take a situation or person and create impromptu scenarios which would have us all laughing literally for years. She is what I call the Lucille Ball of our family. Oh Betty, My Dear Cousin Betty, what a void you have left.
