Lisa was born on December 30, 1959 in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from nursing school in 1991 from Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and received her BSN in 2007 from University of Texas at Arlington. She spent the latter half of her career working in Home Health. Lisa enjoyed gardening, caring for the hummingbirds in her backyard, traveling, history, and anything British. Lisa deeply loved her son and dedicated her life to providing all that she could for him.
Lisa was a true woman of God. She was a compassionate and selfless follower, always putting the needs of others before her own. In her relationship with Jesus, she found total acceptance, kindness, and grace. Even after being diagnosed with Stage IV cancer in November 2018, she courageously embraced the situation; trusting in God’s plan at all times. Her faith never wavered. She was certain that “He held it all in the palm of His hand” and that perfect peace awaited her after passing. During this time, Lisa continued to teach everyone around her about absolute faith and trust in God.
Lisa is survived by her son Brad North, his wife Valerie, and their son Liam; along with her brother Glenn Bennett, his wife Pam, and their two children.
