Bobby Jerald Watts Jr. sadly passed away on April 23, 2023, at the age of 69. He died peacefully in the arms of his loving wife of 49 years, Linda. Bobby is survived by his three children: Matthew (spouse Melinda), Luke (spouse Amelia), and Karen.
Bobby was born to Bobby Sr. and Faye Watts on March 22, 1954, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was the eldest of three children and is survived by his sister, Cheryl Clawson, and his brother, Steve Watts.
Bobby met his wife of 49 years, Linda Daigle, at Louisiana State University while pursuing a bachelor's degree in psychology. They married on May 25, 1974, as he began his master's in social work. After completing his master's degree, Bobby began a successful career in the private and public sectors of Hospital Administration. During this time Bobby and Linda had three children and later moved to the Dallas area, where they have lived and loved for the last 29 years. Bobby eventually transitioned into a more patient-centric role in managed care before retiring in 2018.
Bobby was a soft-spoken and kind-hearted man wholly devoted to his wife and children, as well as his extended family. As an avid lover of music and writer of songs and poetry, he channeled his energy through social media to advocate for artists he was passionate about, including his two nephews. Bobby was dedicated to the idea of his words uplifting and affirming people.
