Billy Ray Adkins

Mr. Billy Adkins was born December 8, 1950, in Terrell, Texas to Earl Lorenz Adkins, Jr. and Audria Faye (Fort) Woodard, both of whom preceded him in death. Billy passed away on June 28, 2023, in Dallas, Texas.

He was a graduate of North Dallas High School, and subsequently enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country with honor. After returning from the service, he attended El Centro College.

Billy had a successful career in communications and worked for AT&T as well as several other telecommunications companies.

Though single at the time of his death, Billy had previously been married.

Left to cherish his memories is daughter, Honorable Judge LaDeitra Adkins, Rowlett, TX; his son, Billy Ray Adkins II (Danielle), Austin, TX; granddaughter, Sarah Louise Adkins; six surviving siblings, Sandra Finney, Hope Adkins, Cynthia Woodard, Nathan Woodard (Lowania), all of Dallas, TX, Curline Cooper, and Robert Boages, both of Las Vegas, NV; and a host of relatives and friends who all loved him dearly. Siblings Earl Adkins III, Pamela Adkins, and Marilyn Williams preceded him in death.
