Walter Douglas Clark

Walter D. Clark, born February 8, 1924 - passed away in his home December 12, 2010 - Age 86. Walt, known to many as Sonny Kelly, was born in Newcastle, WA. His family moved to Black Diamond, WA where he attended school and participated on many sport teams. Walt was Manager of the Meat Department for Associated Grocers in Seattle for over 30 years, retiring in 1986. Walt was an avid golfer and was a member at Fairwood Golf and Country Club in Renton for years. One of Walt's most memorable golf achievements was at age 73 he shot his age...something he was quite proud of.

Walt is survived by his wife Joan of 42 years, daughters Sharron Cobb (Rod) of Wenatchee, WA, Sue Moeller (Mike) of Renton, WA, and Kelly Clark of Mukilteo, WA. Walt is also survived by his sister Eileen Zumek (Joe) of Maple Valley, WA, and also six grandchildren Kim Kirk (Steve), Jamie Cobb (Annie), Chris Moeller (Katie), Courtney Moeller, Jeff Moeller and Alex Clark and one great-grandson, Kaden Kirk. Walt was preceded in death by his son Ron in 2005.

A Celebration of Walt's life will be held Tuesday, December 21 at Fairwood Golf and Country Club located at 17070 140th Avenue SE Renton, WA at 11:00 AM. Private interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Renton, WA.
