Richard is survived by his mother, Corrine Adeeba Abdullah of Birmingham; wife, Mattie Watts; children, Manuel, Sarah, Patrick, Andrew, and Jordon; mothers of children, Pam and Sonya; siblings, Kevin, Manuel, Donna, and Estella (Sonya). He is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Abdullah and son Baby Richard.
Richard was born on 4/22/1966 in Detroit, MI to Corrine and Manuel Abdullah. He was raised in Birmingham, later moved to California and then settled in Washington State. Richard worked at Stoneway Concrete as a Mixer Driver, a job he loved so much he said he would do for free. His six children meant the world to him and they were always in his heart and daily thoughts. He wanted his children to pursue their dreams and live a life full of love and gratitude.
Richard had many talents and was an accomplished musician, artist, motorcycle racer, and amateur astronomer. He was a generous individual who loved life and was passionate about constant self-improvement. He believed in the power of love and gratitude.
A celebration of his life is scheduled from 4pm-7pm on December 2 at Greenwood Memorial Park Funeral Home in Renton, WA. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Seattle's Union Gospel Mission at www.ugm.org or The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County at www.thehumanesociety.org.
