Nadine “Chris” Haley was born August 30, 1938, in Wapato, Washington to Henry and Francis Roberts. Chris was the youngest of eleven children. During her childhood years, the family moved to Renton, Washington and Chris graduated from Renton High School. Chris worked as an elevator operator and a grocery checker before joining the sales staff at the Sears and Roebuck store in Renton, where she worked in various departments for over twenty years.
Chris married Don Haley in 1963 and together they raised their two daughters in Renton. Following retirement, Chris and Don moved to Gig Harbor, where Chris continued to live until her passing on October 13, 2024.
Chris was an accomplished seamstress and gardener who enjoyed movies and travel, as well. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and always looked forward to spending time with them. She laughed often and loudly.
Chris was preceded in death by her beloved Don, her parents, and seven of her siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Erica Saunders (Marv) and Leslie Holley (Steve), three sisters, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
