On Monday, April 10th, 2023, Karen Yvonne Buck left the presence of family at home in Renton, Washington, to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior in Heaven. Karen lived a full life of 76 years as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and daughter-in-law.
Born on December 4th, 1946, to William Linhart and Jean (Ware) Linhart in Kansas City, Missouri, Karen frequently moved around during her childhood with her family as her dad served in the Army Air Corps and later worked for aerospace. By the time she graduated, her family had settled in California where Karen met her husband, Ron Buck who was serving as a Marine at Camp Pendleton at the time.
During her time in California with her husband and children, Karen worked at a phone company and at one time worked at her parents’ 7-11 store. Ron and Karen married and had two daughters, Bobbie and Julie, before moving to Washington. Karen enjoyed working as a church secretary for two different churches and teaching a Sunday school class on understanding prophecy and Heaven which she now fully realizes.
Those who miss her dearly include her husband Ron Buck, daughters Bobbie Buck and Julie Deppa, son-in-law Doug Deppa, granddaughter Mirielle Deppa, sister Dianna Torrence, brother-in-law Kevin Torrence, nephews Craig Torrence and Eric Torrence and their spouses, and more family in Michigan.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at www.lls.org.
As Karen would end each Sunday school class, “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26.
