David Eugene Butz, age 98, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2018. He was born in Oneida, Kansas on August 8, 1920. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Barbara Jones Butz and their son, Lonnie Eugene Butz. He is survived by his daughter Jeanette Butz Posey, son-in-law Stanley Posey. and two brothers, Alfred and Kenneth Butz. David had three grandchildren, Jennifer Butz Wicke, Jill Posey Harris and Daryl Posey. He had nine great grandchildren and six great- great grandchildren.
David was a loving, kind Christian father and friend. He was a gentle, kind person with a deep faith and many people felt blessed by knowing him. He loved spending time with family; beaming in joy in the presence of his siblings, children, grandchildren and their children.
David was steadfast in his Christian faith, loving spirit and positive attitude to the very end.
