Cheng Chiang Saephanh (Weurn Wa Saephanh) was born on April 14, 1966 in Laung Prabang, Laos. He passed away in his sleep on February 1, 2024. Cheng was only 57 years of age. His family is profoundly saddened by losing him unexpectedly.
Cheng found immense joy in the great outdoors — whether it was camping, fishing, squidding, or detailing his cars obsessively every week. He was a loving husband and father, a doting ong (grandpa), a lifelong fan of the Seattle Seahawks, a kindhearted man who lent a helping hand to anyone in need, and an easy going person who always had a smile on his face and a laughter to share.
Cheng is survived by his wife Torn Chong; daughters May and her husband Ye-San, Kathy and her husband Bernd, Melissa and Brittani; granddaughter Hana; brothers: Wern Cho, Wern Fou, Wern Luang, Wern Lio, Wern Poo and Wern Ching; sisters: Tzai Chiang, Lio Chiang and Manh Chiang; and countless nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service on February 14, 2024 at Greenwood Memorial in Renton, WA at 10AM PST.
