We are sad to announce the passing of Blanche Marion Glaeser. She died at the age of 98 on December 2, 2022 at the Farrington Court Senior Living Community in Kent, Washington. Blanche was born June 11, 1924 in Hartford, Wisconsin, to Adolph and Daisy Polster. She moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and began working at Allis-Chalmers where she met and married Eugene Schmit. She later worked as a customer service representative at the Wisconsin Gas Company. After Eugene passed, she married Jack Glaeser, an executive at the Gas Company. When Jack died in 1987, she partnered with longtime friend Leonard (Jumpy) Millard and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. There she joined Good Samaritan Lutheran Church. She volunteered in the church office, was a greeter for Sunday services and made many good friends. Jumpy passed away in 2008 and in 2014 Blanche moved to Kent, Washington to be closer to her son and daughter-in-law.
Blanche was a ‘party girl’ and enjoyed social activities all her life. With over 20 years of living in Las Vegas, she was in her element. At Farrington Court, bingo and bean bag baseball were her favorite activities. Here she met Richard (Dick) Hunter with whom she shared the last five years of her life. Blanche is survived by three children, their spouses, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Eugene Felix Schmit and John George (Jack) Glaeser, her parents and two sisters.
At the family’s request, no service will be held.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.greenwoodmempark.com for the Glaeser family.
