Arthur was born on July 14, 1938, in Long Beach, CA to (Friend L. Carlson) and (Charlotte Carlson). He grew up in Long Beach with his Brother and Sister Paul and Joan, were he enjoyed life growing up at the beach. At the early age of 9yrs old he was able to get a summer job renting out sail boats at the bay in Belmont Shores. He attended Wilson High school and then joined the Navy where he sailed on an aircraft carrier. He moved to Washington State in 1971 and retired as an engineer for the Boeing Company. He was a Boy Scout leader and sang in the choir at St. Anthony’s church.
He married the love of his life Dana in October 1961, and enjoyed 55 years of marriage. He was the proud father of Lewis and Jacob. He loved the ocean and beach, fishing, and enjoyed watching his favorite sport teams the Mariners, Seahawks and the USC Trojans. He enjoyed family dinners and making everyone laugh with a good joke or a funny story.
Arthur was incredibly passionate and proud of his family. He is survived by his Wife Dana, Son Lewis and his Wife Colleen, Son Jacob and his Wife Michelle, Grandchildren Silvie and Haydan, Great-Grandchildren Lyla & Michael, Sister Joan Dunne, and Brother Paul Carlson.
