Dorothy Moxham, formerly from Leross, Saskatchewan, recently from Echo Lodge in Fort Qu’appelle, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Leslie, her eldest son Allan, brothers Charles and Bert, sister Mildred (Brattley), brothers-in-law Norman and Thor Brattley, Lucien Blanchard, and grandsons James and Stephen.
She is survived by her sister Ruth (Brattley), as well as sisters-in-law Dolores (Lansdall) and Pearl (Blanchard). She is also survived by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren: Bert and Jeanne Moxham, Leon and Jennifer (Bailey, Cole, Zara, Donny), Timothy and Jennifer (Travis and Kyle), Brandy and Mike Thiessen (Anthony, Ella), Beth and Walter Grainger, Tonia and Steve Peters (Kirsten, Kaelan), Maria and Greg Lucyshyn (Brooklyne, Matthew, Alexis, Carter), Robert and Jenniffer (Tatiana), Nikolle and Lawrence Wurz (Tyson, Kaidon, Jaymes, Levi), Danita and Jake (Isabella), Beverley and Gordon Gherasim, Adrienne and Damon Sklar (John), Nick and Kelli (Henry, Oliver, Jane), Adam and Kayla (Kinley), Charlien and Robert Britton, Korie Moxham, Rick Bohach (Haakon), Robert and Ricki Britton, Jenna and Denis Deschamps (Dominic, Maxim, Morrigan), Carol and Bill Facknie, Ryley and Jenna Schmidt (Ella), Mitchell and Ariel Schmidt, Carman and Glenda Moxham (Dustin, Shayla, Kayla, Sheena, Shandra, Chelsey).
Dorothy was born in Kelstern, Saskatchewan. As a girl, she loved riding horses and playing her guitar. She was a member of the Wilf Carter fan club. Dorothy was a loving wife and mother who was involved in her community. She loved fishing and had a passion for gardening. She taught 4H, quilted, and judged horticulture and homecraft at local and provincial levels. Even until the very end, she was a proud farmer. She loved her chickens, cows, dogs, and especially her kitties. In her later years she enjoyed sharing this love with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
