1951 – 2016
Passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital on Friday, January 29, 2016. Predeceased by his father Bruce, his mother Dora, and numerous aunts and uncles, Cec is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn, his faithful companion, Maggie May, sisters Darlene King and Linda Mark, aunts Martha Strandlund, Isabel Baron, Dorothy Eliason, and nieces, nephews, and cousins. (Special first cousin, Jerry Eliason.) Cec was born in Meadow Lake, SK on September 6, 1951 and was raised in Pilot Butte, SK. Upon graduation, Cec started working in the wholesale plumbing industry with Westburne, now Wolseley, in both Regina and Winnipeg where he worked his way to senior management. Cec was an avid sports fan, enjoying the Regina Pats, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and the Toronto Blue Jays. For years Cec’s passion was pitching in the Mount Pleasant Fastball League and playing in weekend fastball tournaments throughout western Canada. He enjoyed playing billiards, cribbage, golf, and poker with many family and friends who enjoyed his sense of humour and competitive spirit. Cec most recently enjoyed his hobby of woodworking, spending many happy hours in his garage building a variety of projects. A celebration of Cec’s life will be held at Resurrection Parish, 3155 Windsor Park Road on Wednesday February 3, 2016 at 11:00 am. Flowers gratefully declined; donations encouraged to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
