Lyman moved to California when he was 13 and graduated from North Torrance High. Drafted into the Army in 1965, he served in Viet Nam. He retired from Northrop Grumman. Known as “Coop”, in the Single Action Shooting Society, and won many competitions in California and the greater southwest.
Lyman is survived by his sister-in-law Debbie Leister, nephews and nieces Greg Deaton, Paul Deaton, Susan Wall, and Janean Hall and many friends and family. He is predeceased by his sister Paula Hall (2024), brother Myron Leister (2024), and nephew Mark Deaton (1997).
A celebration of life will be held on December 18, 2024 at the family home in Redondo Beach, CA at 2pm. Interment will be held at Coalgate Cemetery, OK - date to be determined.
