Venita was the first-born child of Dillon and Eva Hubbard in St. Francis, Kansas in 1937. Her childhood started there but moved out to Sauvie Island in Oregon, where others of her family had already relocated. Her teenage years were spent in Oregon City, and she graduated from high school in 1956.
As a young woman, she worked at Pendleton Mills in Portland as a seamstress. She then spent the majority of her working career in retail, the longest position being at Lakeside Drug in Redmond.
Vee had been blessed with the gift of creativity, from painting, to creating hand painted cards, that in themselves were a gift to receive. She did most of her creative work out of her little studio in her home, that was a work of art in itself.
God blessed Vee with a creative, funny, delightful, loving soul that will be tremendously missed but no one who knows her can deny the footprint left by her presence.
Vee is survived by son Mark Snyder, son Scott Snyder and spouse Donna, and her grandchildren Chloe Wardle, Jana Meyer and James Bretschneider along with her sisters Marlene White and Carolyn Dalyen and many nieces and nephews.
Plans for a celebration of Vee’s life are still be developed and will be at a later date.
A graveside service for Venita will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Cedar Lawns Memorial Park, 7200 180th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.CedarLawns-Washington.com for the Snyder family.
