Robert Monroe Carpenter

1919 - 2013

Robert Carpenter, 93, long time resident of Trinity Center and Redding, passed away in Adrian, Oregon on August 14, 2013.

Robert was born in New Plymouth, Idaho on September 27, 1919.

His parents moved the family from Ontario, Oregon when he was 6 years old. They traveled by wagon to McArthur, California where his Dad farmed. It was in McArthur that he met and married June Belding on July 11, 1941. After June's death in 1968 he married Cleo Neasham in December of 1969. Robert worked for PG&E for 32 years.

Robert was preceded in death by two loving wives, June Belding Carpenter and Cleo Neasham Carpenter, daughter Patricia Cramer, brothers Don, David, Kenneth and sisters Claudia, Elma, Dorothy and Lenora.

Loving family survivors include: sons Kenneth Carpenter of McCloud and Steve Neasham of Adrian, OR, daughters Dorothy Gentry of Lebanon, OR and Corienne Carlin of Shingletown. Dad had 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Masonic Hall in Redding on August 24, 2013 at 10:30 am. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America at 322 8th Ave., 7th Fl., New York, NY 10001.
