Rita Brusa, 96, passed away March 31, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Red Bluff. Ms. Brusa was born on the 6th of June, 1926 in Newton County, Texas to Bertie Meadows and Grover Berryman.
Rita travelled to Red Bluff, California from Pineland, Texas where she settled for the remaining years.
Rita made many friends in the golfing community in which she thrived playing in tournaments at local courses. She started golfing at the age of 51 and played until age 87.
Rita is survived by her two children Jack and Joann, five grandchildren Jake, Nathan, Benjamin, Jack and Kelly, and five great-grandchildren Riley, Cole, Hank, Miley and Alexandria and her sister Betty.
Rita's graveside service will be held on April 12th at Oak Hill Cemetery in Red Bluff, California at 10:00am.
