Charles H. "Joe" Brunk, 94, passed away March 30, 2018. He was born to Hugh Brunk and Velma Lee (Benson) Brunk in McMinnville, OR, October 23, 1923. Joe moved to Red Bluff in 1968 as an Air Force station assignment to Red Bluff Radar Base Installation. He graduated from Geyserville High School, Geyserville, CA and attended Northwest Christian College, Eugene, OR. Joe was drafted into the Army in 1940 and served over 6 years. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1954 and retired from the Air Force in 1970. He served in the New Guinea and South Philippines Luzon Campaigns, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. Joe was an Electrician for Diamond Plywood and Kimberly Clark after retiring from the Air Force. He was a member of Red Bluff First Church of God for 41 years and served as an elder for many years. Joe is survived by his wife of 65 years Margie; children, Rick Brunk and Cathey Harrison; grandchildren, Wes Barone and wife Marci; Erin (Harrison) Sire and husband Joel; great grandchildren Claryssa Barone, Mariannah Sire, Micah Sire. A service will be held April 6 at 9:30am at Northern California Veteran's Cemetery, Igo, CA.
