It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Wanda Ivelisse Lopez, who departed from this world peacefully, at home, on December 13, 2024. She left behind a legacy of unconditional love, kindness, and cherished memories. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and friend. She was welcomed into heaven by her two brothers, Richie and Henry Lopez, who preceded her in death.
Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on January 6th 1959, Wanda was a woman of strength, grace, sass, and unwavering dedication to her children. She devoted her life to her family, ensuring that her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Her compassion and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her and her strength of spirit inspired those around her.
Wanda's spirit will be carried on by her surviving mother, Maria Hernandez, and her seven children: Jay, Marcus, Julius, Nick, Javius, Melissa, and Julian. Wanda also leaves behind many grandchildren to cherish her memory. Wanda found joy in cooking, music, dancing, enjoying her favorite sweet treats, and spending time with family which brought light and happiness to her life. She taught her children the value of resilience, love, hard work, kindness- these lessons we will carry forward in her honor.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find solace in the love and memories she left behind. She will be endlessly missed, but her spirit will always live within our hearts. We love you!
The following is a verse by The Commodore dedicated to Wanda “Thanks for the times that you've given me. The memories are all in my mind and now that we've come to the end of our rainbow. There's something I must say out loud. You're once, twice, three times a lady and I love you. Yes, you're once, twice, three times a lady and I love you I love you I love youuuuuuu!!!!!!”
A graveside committal service to honor Wanda's life will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606, officiated by Rev. Nicholas Comacho.
