She is survived by her husband, David A. Showalter. She was born in Camden, NJ, on March 19, 1951, a daughter of Hazel Schilling and the late John Schilling.
Judith was employed by Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ, as a Registered Nurse for many years and retired from St. Joseph Hospital in Reading as a Registered Nurse. She volunteered at Holy Guardian Angels School and was a woman of strong faith. Judith had a love of traveling and a fondness of the Jersey Shore.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her 2 daughters, Erin and her husband, Nate McKittrick, of Reading; and Kathleen and her husband, Mike McArdle, of Sinking Spring; her 5 grandchildren: Marlayna, Elijah, Addison, Calen, and Logan.
There are 3 brothers: Don Schilling, Matt Schilling, and Steve Schilling; her sisters, Patty and her husband, Scott MacAdams, and Janet and her husband, Harry Cook; sister-in-law, Joanne Renner and her husband, Matt. A longtime best friend, Kathy Moir and many nieces and nephews. Judith was predeceased by her brother, Jack Schilling.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 12 noon in Auman's Inc Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton. A gathering will be from 11-12 noon in the funeral home. www.aumansinc.com
