Jon Ann (Johnson) Frederick, 71, of Spring Township, PA entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Born in Reading, PA on November 12, 1952, she was a daughter to the late Clarence Ellsworth Johnson and Bernis Ardella (Coleman) Johnson.
Jon Ann answered the call to serve her nation by joining the US Navy, where she demonstrated her dedication to duty. Upon her honorable discharge in 1974, she pursued her passion for caring for others by earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alvernia University. This marked the beginning of a remarkable career as a Registered Nurse, where she dedicated herself to the well-being and comfort of countless patients throughout her lifetime; working at various institutions including but not limited to: Community General Hospital and the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Beyond her professional achievements, Jon Ann was an active member of PETRA Church in New Holland, where she demonstrated her unwavering faith and compassion by leading the widow's ministry.
In her spare time, Jon Ann found joy and fulfillment in creative pursuits, particularly sewing, knitting and quilting. Her talents as an expert quilter were admired by all who had the privilege of seeing her work.
Jon Ann's spirit will be carried on by her 2 sons Adrian Wallace (Becky) and James Frederick; her daughter Kiera Frederick and her grandson Maximus Wallace. She also leaves behind her 6 sisters Cherie Molino - Bryan (Tony), Maureen W. Williams - Dais, Colette Cannon (Ron), Karen Vincent (Rudolph), Karla M. Lopez and Katrina Harvey to cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents, Jon Ann was greeted in heaven by her husband Rev. Ronald J. Frederick; her brother Jerome Johnson and her sister Bernice Bland Diaz Cruz.
A viewing for Jon Ann will be held Monday, May 6, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Petra Church, 565 Airport Rd., New Holland, PA 17557. Funeral services will promptly commence in church at 10:30 AM. Graveside committal to follow at 2:30 PM at Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Rd., Fleetwood.
