JoAnn Fegley

Born on April 3, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Sophie Fegley Teter and Warren E. Fegley.

JoAnn attended the Reading Public Schools and was a faithful member of St. James Church of God in Christ (COGIC), where she accepted the Lord into her life. She loved praising the Lord and often worshiped alongside Mother McCracken.

For 38 years, JoAnn worked at Ludens Candy Factory, which later became Hershey’s, until her retirement.

JoAnn was a faithful companion to the love of her life, Jessie Harvey Jr., for many years.

In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her brother, David Leroy Fegley; her sister, Mary Magdalina Fegley; and her common-law parents, Waldo and Thelma Dickey. She was also preceded by her brother-in-law, Robert Harvey.

JoAnn leaves to cherish her loving memories her two sisters-in-law, Minister JoAnn (Loyd) Rowell and Robin Fletcher; a favorite nephew, Gregory Fletcher Jr.; her caregiver niece, JoAnna Castillo; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She is also survived by Miss Kittie, her devoted cat and companion.

A viewing for JoAnn will be held Monday, November 18, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Theo C Auman, 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601. A celebration of life service will promptly commence in the funeral home at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Barbara Walton officiating. Graveside committal will immediately follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606.
