Janet Eve (Roy) Palmer

Janet Eve Palmer, 94, of Shillington, PA entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at her residence. Born in Reading, PA on August 12, 1929, she was a daughter to the late Edgar Roy and Esther Naomi (Rauch) Roy.

Janet dedicated 30 years of her life to the art of candy decoration with the R.M. Palmer Company, retiring in 1987.

Janet was a proud member of the Berks County Senior Citizen Orchestra and the Shape Note Orchestra. Her musical talents extended to entertaining residents of nursing homes with heartfelt performances in "Buttons and Bows" where she shared her passion for music and brightened the lives of those around her. Janet was also a member of the Calvary United Methodist Choir, lending her voice to the harmony of the congregation. Her commitment to music extended further as a proud member of the Eastern Music Organ Club, where she found joy in connecting with fellow enthusiasts.

Janet's spirit will be carried on by her son Kerry John Palmer, of Shillington and her daughter Cynthia Lynette Palmer Dixon (widow of Michael G. Dixon), of Odenton, MD. Janet also leaves behind 2 grandsons Michael John Dixon and his wife Julie, Todd Ryan Dixon; great grandson Noah Ryan Dixon and many nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents, Janet was greeted in heaven by her 3 brothers Robert Roy, Randall Roy and Charles Roy and her husband Edward Allan Palmer.

Funeral service and burial at Forest Hills Memorial Park will be private and at the discretion of Janet's family.
