Dennis Edward Staten was born April 27, 1952, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Amos and Mary Mays-Staten. Dennis received his education in the New York City Public School system. He had the type of personality that engulfed the people around him. Always with a joke or something funny to make you laugh and smile. Dennis had a love for children. He had a Good Pied Piper effect on kids. The more the merrier. If your kid was shy or timid. By the time Dennis worked his magic, they would be laughing and playing with all the other children.
When the Vietnam War hit. Dennis and several of his friends joined the various branches of the militarily. Dennis chose the Marines. After serving his time and receiving an honorable discharge, Dennis decided to join his mother in Reading Pa. There, he met Diane Burdine, and from that union, they had their son Dennis M. Burdine a joy to his life. Some years later Dennis would once again become a proud father to his daughter September E Staten. Who unfortunately preceded him in death at a far too early age.
Dennis loved to drive trucks. Over the years, he worked for various bus and trucking companies doing what he loved best. He continued to drive as he went to live in Allentown Pa for a number of years. In 2021, Dennis made the move to Lebanon, PA. There, he became a member of Freedom and Christ Fellowship Church. Where just a few short months ago, he was baptized, for which he was so proud.
