Debra Lyn Goda, 64, of Wyomissing, PA entered eternal rest on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Reading Hospital -Tower Health. Born February 9, 1957 in Battle Creek, Michigan she was a cherished daughter to Phyllis (Love) Jones and Donald Jones.
In addition to her parents, Debra's spirit will be carried on by her beloved husband, Michael D. Goda. The loving couple would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on August 9th this year. Debra also leaves behind 2 sisters Kathy McAdam, Joyce Lanza and many nieces and nephews to cherish her memory. Debra was preceded in death by her brother Danny Perry.
Debra's love of traveling led her to making a career in the travel industry. For over 30 years, she worked her way up from travel agent to manager of operations; working at various locations throughout the years most recently at World Travel, Douglassville.
Debra was a member of Cacoosing Gun Club, where she enjoyed Skeet shooting with her husband. In her spare time, Debra loved trips to the casinos. She loved playing the slots, many times winning more than she lost. Debra also enjoyed going hunting with her husband and always had a love for dogs; however, above all else she truly treasured spending time with family and looked forward to visiting her family in California.
As a person, Debra was outspoken and had a knack for telling it like it is. She always told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear and everyone always knew where you stood with her. She was a truly genuine, resilient, and strong woman with a fighting spirit. Debra battled various illnesses throughout her life but, everyone could always count on her to be present, show up to support her family and friends or even just to lend a hand. She will be sorely missed by all blessed enough to have known her.
