He was born in Reading on November 3,1953 a son of the late Chester F. and Martha A. (Mohr) Mieczkowski.
Bruce was a tow motor operator for Morgan Corp for over 34 years retiring there. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed being at his hunting camp. He also loved watching NASCAR racing, especially Jeff Gordon. His grandson Austin made him proud of his racing skills and Bruce enjoyed going to the track to watch him. Bruce never missed any grandchildren's sporting events. Bruce was a Dallas Cowboy fan and an Atlanta Braves fan. He enjoyed going to Wildwood and Virginia Beach on vacation. He enjoyed yard work and going out to eat, especially at Shady Maple. He was a member of Neversink Gun Club where he was on the shuffle board and dart board teams.
Also surviving are his children; Bruce R. Jr., and his wife Caroline Mieczkowski, Bob Mieczkowski, Brad Mieczkowski, William and his wife Heather Haas, Dawn Sands and her partner, Ricki Knarr, and Diane Parker , fiance' of Wes Lord. His 4 brothers; Chet Mieczkowski, Randy Mieczkowski, Craig Mieczkowski, Bryon Mieczkowski and 10 grandchildren; Cody, Tyler, Dale, Karlie, Bobby, Ashley, Austin, Maddison, McKenzie and Jaelynn and 3 great grandchildren; Nolan, Remie and Jack.
