Ruth Ellen Gehring

Ruth E. (nee Haeufle) beloved wife of 60 years of John A. Gehring. Loving mother of Carol (Gerald) Wash, Mary Ellen (the late Roger) Matheny, Dennis Gehring, Lois (Steve) Broermann, James (Rita) Gehring, John E. Gehring, Joseph Gehring, and Eileen (Rob) Bicknell. Beloved grandmother of 21 and great grandmother of many loving great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Joseph Haeufle, Doris Emerson, Mary Grace (Daniel) Bender, and the late Walter Haeufle. Ruth was the first female life squad captain of Arlington Heights and in Hamilton County, as well as a charter member of the St. Bernard Eagles #1162 Ladies Auxillary. She passed away Wednesday, March 20th 2013 at age 82. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 25th at Sts. Peter & Paul Church, 330 W. Vine St., Reading. Visitation 4-7 P.M. Sunday, March 24th at Schmidt-Dhonau-Kucner Funeral Home, 8633 Reading Road, Reading. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or Sts. Peter & Paul Church.
